LiNEGUARD, open, personalized and secure readers.
In both Matrix and Line versions, discover the performance of LiNEGUARD readers.
To secure access to commercial offices, industrial sites, or residential buildings, choosing the right access control system and badge readers is a strategic step. Each LiNEGUARD badge reader integrates 13.56 MHz RFID technology and 2.4 GHz for Bluetooth, ensuring smooth and reliable access control. From simple badge reading to keypad verification using a PIN code, the reader range meets all professional market requirements for security, all at an attractive entry-level price.
Deploying an effective access system requires badge readers that are perfectly tailored to the physical constraints of buildings and user traffic. LiNEGUARD RFID readers come in three main criteria: casing format, authentication interface type, and visual feedback mode.
Nano format: ideal for surface-mounting the badge reader on narrow door frames, aluminum profiles, or tight spaces. This discreet casing ensures a neat architectural integration without compromising badge reading performance.
Ultra format: designed with a wider front face. This reader installs on standard flush-mounting boxes or flat wall surfaces, offering optimal ergonomics for keypad code entry on equipped models.
Line finish: relies on a vertical light guide made of 6 LEDs. The administrator can adjust the color, progressive fade-in/fade-out sequences, and signal duration to indicate successful control, a rejected badge, a security alert…
Matrix finish: integrates a 25-LED matrix to display dynamic pictograms (directional arrows, rejection cross, validation…). This clear visual feedback is ideal for streamlining access flow in high-traffic sites.
Keypad ranges (mechanical keypad)
Designed to enforce dual authentication. The user must present their card to the reader and then enter their code on a durable, backlit mechanical keypad.
Touch range (touchscreen)
Integrates a dynamic capacitive screen capable of displaying a random virtual keypad to prevent key-replay attacks, along with customized visual instructions to enhance security.
Prox ranges (keypadless)
Dedicated to fast reading of each badge or proximity card. These proximity readers ensure smooth management and access control in high-traffic areas.
Each badge reader in the range integrates the industry’s most rigorous electronic standards to deliver maximum security against intrusion attempts, card cloning, or hacking.

The choice of badge reader depends on the location and required level of security. For basic control at office entrances, a proximity reader in Nano form factor (such as the Line Nano Prox) offers fast RFID card and badge reading at the best price. To secure a sensitive door requiring a PIN, a mechanical keypad reader in Nano or Ultra format (Line Nano Keypad or Line Ultra Keypad) provides robust dual authentication. If the goal is to display clear visual cues at a high-traffic access point, Matrix readers with 25 LEDs are the best fit.
Installation requires connecting each badge reader to a remote access control unit, as LiNEGUARD readers do not operate standalone in order to comply with ANSSI-recommended security requirements. Wiring is done via TTL or RS485 interfaces, allowing the reader to communicate using Wiegand, OSDP, or SSCP with the controller. Access permissions, user PINs, card and badge profiles, and smartphone access are then configured through the controller.
The cost of a reader depends on its security level and features, ranging from the entry-level CSN model (the most economical but non-secure) to advanced PRESET, CUSTOM, MOBILE, and FULL versions.
To upgrade to a higher security level, two options are available:
With the range starting from €135.00 excl. VAT list price for a compact proximity reader, the price varies depending on the addition of a keypad, a LED matrix, or a touchscreen. The cost of physical cards or badges (MIFARE or DESFire families) must be factored in, as well as the cost of the access control unit and wiring. The software upgradeability of the readers allows you to transition to mobile credentials without changing the installed hardware.
The difference lies in the reader’s light display. The Line version features a vertical 6-LED guide ideal for displaying clean, streamlined signals. The Matrix version relies on a 25-LED matrix capable of displaying pictograms and dynamic visual animations. Both reader ranges offer identical 13.56 MHz RFID reading, the same security level, and compatibility with MIFARE and DESFire cards and badges.
Yes. Thanks to the integration of standard protocols OSDP, Wiegand, and SSCP, each reader interfaces with all access control units on the market. When upgrading a site, you can replace the reader fleet without changing the central controllers or wiring, while keeping the proximity cards and badges already deployed to users (MIFARE, DESFire, or 13.56 MHz technologies).
Yes. In addition to RFID reading of physical badges and cards, the readers natively feature Bluetooth (BLE) and NFC chips. The LiNEGUARD Access app allows users to validate their entry directly from their phone, without needing a card or PIN. This virtual credential feature is activated via LiNEGUARD Studio and works in parallel with standard proximity badge reading.
When integrating into an existing installation, LiNEGUARD Studio enables the creation of custom profiles (technology, format, security level) to support cards that are already deployed. Capable of managing up to eight profiles simultaneously, LiNEGUARD readers adapt to your current card population, saving you the cost of replacing all your badges.
