Offering energy-efficient products

Aware that electronic products are energy-hungry, LiNEGUARD has chosen to offer high-performance readers without compromising the environment.

To this end, the LEDs in LiNEGUARD readers – in both matrix and light guide versions – operate with reduced light intensity, without aesthetic compromise. Although LEDs are capable of providing a higher level of brightness, the reduced light intensity means that they consume less energy without impairing the legibility of the messages they read.

The readers in the range also feature an ‘energy saving’ mode that puts the system to sleep when it is not being used. LiNEGUARD readers then wake up when the user approaches them, significantly reducing energy consumption when not in use, while ensuring an optimal experience.

Producing in France and promoting short distribution channels

As part of this 100% made in France production, LiNEGUARD is also committed to promoting local suppliers and partners. To go even further and rationalize purchasing and spending, LiNEGUARD meticulously studies each flow to enable :

– Reuse of packaging and cushioning products,
– Container rotation,
– Energy savings…

Limiting the impact of our activities and LiNEGUARD products on the environment is a real priority. To this end, the development and production process for LiNEGUARD readers complies with the ISO 14001 standard, which defines the requirements of a management system through the adoption of environmentally strategic tools and approaches.

Standardizing parts

Choosing to standardize parts among the various LiNEGUARD references considerably reduces the amount of tooling required. In this case, only 4 molds – considering the 33 parts that make up the readers – are needed to produce the LiNEGUARD references.

This approach also enables us to limit the amount of steel consumed by limiting the number of cavity holders, and to produce parts using dual injection and overmolding.

Choosing sustainable materials

Aware that the materials used have a real impact on the environment, the materials used in LiNEGUARD readers are chosen with care. LiNEGUARD favors easily recyclable rather than eco-designed materials that cannot always be recycled at the end of a product’s life.

LiNEGUARD materials are rigorously selected for their aesthetic and strength properties, so as to limit the number of parts, for example: ABSPC in case injection for its aesthetic and strength qualities, thus avoiding the use of lexan.

Exploiting new technologies

The design of the entire range of readers is geared towards reduced environmental impact. Thanks to software design and digital simulation tools, LiNEGUARD products are rigorously designed to :

Achieve targeted strength performance without adding material by distributing volumes and surfaces,
Optimise the weight of parts and volumes to reduce material consumption to just what is needed.
